These terms set the rules for using Teachify (the forum, lessons, quizzes, daily challenge and progress system). By creating an account or using the platform you agree to them. Please read them together with the Privacy policy and the Cookie policy. The Romanian version prevails if the two versions differ.
1. Who we are
Teachify is operated by [Operator name], [Operator registration number and registered office] (“we”). You can reach us at any time at [contact email address].
The platform is free and is meant mainly for middle and high school students in Romania and for the teachers who help them.
2. Your account
You need an account to ask questions, answer, vote and save your progress. You can sign up with an email address and password or with your Google account.
Your account details must be accurate and your own. Accounts are personal: do not share yours or use someone else's. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for what happens in your account; if you think someone knows your password, change it and let us know.
Your username and display name are public. Do not use offensive names, or names suggesting that you are part of the team or a teacher if you are not.
3. Users under 16
In Romania, the age from which a person can consent to online services on their own is 16. If you are under 16, you may create and use an account only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian who has read these terms and the Privacy policy.
Parents and guardians can write to [contact email address] to find out what data we hold about their child, to correct it or to ask for the account to be deleted. If we learn that an account of a child under 16 was created without parental consent, we may suspend it until consent is confirmed, or delete it.
4. What you post
The questions, answers, images and other material you post in the forum remain yours. By posting them, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, store, reproduce, display, technically adapt (for example formatting or resizing images) and distribute them on the platform for as long as they stay published, and afterwards in backups until these are routinely deleted.
The forum is public: anyone, including visitors without an account and search engines, can see your content. Other users may read, quote and use it for personal, non-commercial learning, with a reference to the source.
Only post content you have the right to post. Do not copy copyrighted text or images without permission, and do not post other people's personal data (for example photos of classmates, phone numbers or addresses).
You can edit or delete your questions and answers at any time. Deleting a question also deletes the answers it received.
5. Code of conduct
When using the platform, you agree:
- to be respectful: no insults, harassment, discrimination or threats;
- not to post illegal, violent, sexual, misleading or dangerous content;
- not to ask for or post solutions to tests, assignments or exams that are in progress;
- not to advertise, spam or repeatedly link to other websites;
- not to manipulate votes or XP, for example with several accounts;
- not to try to bypass security measures, access other people's data or overload the platform.
6. Moderation and reports
Any signed-in user can report a question or an answer that breaks these rules. The author of the post does not learn who reported it.
Administrators review reports and, depending on how serious the breach is, may hide or delete content, remove a teacher badge, or suspend or close accounts. We do not review content before it is published, but we act as quickly as possible once we learn about a problem.
If you see illegal content or think a moderation decision was wrong, write to [contact email address] with a link to the post and a short explanation. We will reply and, where appropriate, reverse the decision.
7. Teacher badge
The teacher badge is granted by the team after checking that the person is a teacher, and may be removed if it is no longer justified or is misused. Teachers' answers remain personal opinions, not official positions of the schools where they teach.
8. XP, levels and streaks
Experience points (XP), levels and streaks are a motivation system. They have no monetary value and cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged for money or other benefits.
We may change how XP is awarded, and we may correct or cancel XP gained through technical errors or by breaking these terms. Your XP, level and streak are shown on your public profile.
9. Lessons, quizzes and the daily challenge
Lessons, quizzes and daily challenges are educational. We try to keep them correct and up to date, but they may contain mistakes and do not replace the official curriculum, textbooks or your teachers' guidance. If you find a mistake, please tell us.
Quiz results are not official school assessments.
10. Availability
We provide the platform free of charge, “as is”. We may add, change or remove features and may temporarily suspend access for maintenance or security reasons. We try to announce important changes in advance.
11. Liability
Each user is responsible for the content they post. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for content posted by users or for indirect damage resulting from use of the platform. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer or any liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Ending your use
You can stop using your account at any time and ask for it to be deleted at [contact email address]. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms; we will tell you why, unless the law prevents us.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the platform changes or the law requires it. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page. We announce important changes on the platform or by email at least 15 days before they apply.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by Romanian law. We try to settle any disagreement amicably; failing that, disputes are settled by the competent courts in Romania, without limiting your rights as a consumer.
15. Contact
For any question about these terms, write to [contact email address].
